Hello all, my mother drives a 05 a6 and today when she was driving it the light ESP or EPS (one of those) came on and she lost power on the road. but when the car s turned off them back on its fine. Can someone tell me what this is? is it expensive to fix? should we not drive it even if the light isnt on?

ESP is traction control, which will kill power in an attempt to control motion. Your mom probably hit an icy spot, the ESP kicked in omentarily, your Mom thought she lost power, pulled over, cycled the car and all was well. Don't worry about it unless it happens again then try to grill her on the road conditions at the time. More than likely, this is nothing to worry about.
