Disconnect the battery. Wait about a minute. Reconnect. Wait 3 minutes for the throttle body alignment to finish and see if the code comes back.

Actually i was about to try that and i remembered that i do not have the code for the stereo

I never had a stereo code issue when I disconnected the battery for a few minutes. I once disconnected the battery for 30 minutes and my stereo was still fine. Of course I can't guarantee anything but most likely it is okay.

ok i disconnected and reconnect the battery yesterday. today i had a different result. this morning only esp light came on. next time i drove the car nothing came on. third time that i drove the car both esp and abs light came back on. now i started to suspect fromm abs. i will recieve my vagcom on monday and try to get the codes if there is any.

Also i have just realized something. The gear lock (i am not sure what the correct name is ) does not work. Se i can take the car from park to drive without pressing the brakes. That was not like that before. I am assuming that happened either i replaced the brake switch or disconnect the battery.

Ok. I got my VAGCOM today and i tried to give it a shot. First of all i found a lot of brake light switch error codes. As you know i replaced the light switch last week so i cleared all the codes. There is one particular code which does not want to go away even if i clear the codes. I think it points the gear lock light as i point out the the message above. Here is the error code:

17087 - Brake Switch (F): Electrical Malfunction

I cant clear this code at all and the gear lock does not work. Do you think that the switch that i bought from ebay is bad? Should i buy a new switch from autozone and replace it again?

There is one more thing. When i turn on the ignition, the gear lock light comes on and goes away. After that i can change the gear without pressing the brake light.
