Faulty Tail Lights for Audi C6

Faulty Tail Lights for Audi C6
I am now on my 2nd set of tail lights. The plastic near the electronic panel melts the plastic. I get numerous dashboard alerts and that annoying noise.
Is there a fix (other than new)?
Are these LED lights?
There are aftermarket ones for sale from Latvia but they don't come with the circuit board inside. Are these LED? Anybody tried them?
All help appreciated.
