Exclamation FINALLY putting my A6 2.8 together need tech help

Life has a funny way of delaying your plans. So much earlier in the year I had a timing issue and the motor was trashed (2001 a6 2.8). I got a good used one, set it in front of the opened up A6 and ... that is how it sat for all summer.

Now I have been out fixing all the broken vacuum lines, and trying to remember where all the hoses and connectors go; The motor is not bolted up yet. I have one hose (large vacuum I think), that I can not figure out where it goes. This is compounded by the fact that I have extra parts on this motor as I asked him to leave as much attached as possible.

Does anyone have a pic of the back (flywheel side) of the motor and how all the hoses attach? Particularly the middle around the TB where the mass of T's and such come together. I am ok with all the small vacuum lines, its the larger ones that have me stumped.

I went out and took a picture of the hose orfice that I cannot figure out what plugs into it. Any help greatly appreciated.

Where do all 4 hoses/hose connectors on the lower half of the TB connect to? I have an alldata account and it is no help at all.

Since my engine in in the car it is much harder to take pictures of what you need. I attempted to capture the hoses but who knows. Here is a link to the pictures I took, it's the last photos in the album I posted.

I REALLY appreciate you taking those pictures. I feel stupid for not taking pics when the old motor was pulled now.

Where does that hose on the left hand side of the green check valve go? Is that one that goes under the intake manifold into "somewhere"?

Also, It may well be that my green check valve is missing in action, any idea what it is called or a part number?

Thanks again.

One more easy question I hope. In the pic below, where is this hose on your car (The one with two plugs; one with a ? one with "Correct?")?

I uploaded 6 more pictures to the same web album as before. The hose that attaches to the green valve loops back down. (see pic). As far as the hose with the L at the end, I'm not too sure.

Thanks again. I am going to try to sort these all out before bolting the motor in. Please try to leave the pictures up for a few days if possible.

I added a pic of the check valve, I'll leave them up probably forever. I don't know how to delete from picasa so everything I upload stays there forever.

Your car is an 01, what year did the 2.8 come out of?

It came out of a 99 I believe, an AHA motor unlike mine (ATQ). That is why I kept my intake and TB.

This is fun, I think I have all the requisite hoses aside from the check valve. What is that system called that the check valve is on?
