Default First Time Poster- NEED EXPERT OPINION

So I've got a picture that I took in the engine bay of a 2001 Audi 2.7t. 133xxx miles. This car is priced at $6395, interior is a 9/10, exterior is a 9/10. But i'm not quite sure what's going on in this picture, and opinions would be GREATLY appreciated as to what this issue might be. I might try to super low ball them, and see if they take it. Then just take it to a shop and put the extra money straight into it.

that looks like coolant seepage to me. Have them replace the reservior and hose...IIRC they was a recall on the reservoir.

Sounds great, thanks. I was hoping it would be something along those lines. It looks pretty nasty, I've never seen coolant do that before, is that a pink coolant thing?

Actually i think it's a reservoir thing.
After I had my reservoir and lines replaced the pink coolant stopped seeping out....it's been about 5-6 years so far.

I think the reason it looks so crusty is just from the heat in the engine vaporizing the moisture. Cheap and easy fix, see if you can get it from between 5500-6000. Check out the turbos, grill them about their driving habits, maintenance records etc. A turbo replacement is the most expensive repair on one of these bad boys

Check the top/rear of the bellhousing. There is a secondary water pump back there that is known to leak. You'll see the same pink/white evaporation crap on the top/rear of the housing. It's about $300 parts/labor to replace the pump.

I'll have to see what I can do. I was reading in the sticky about the turbos, and how important it is to ask about them. I purchased the carfax report, and it was serviced regularly up until around 97,000. (lease) However, for the past 40,000 it was owned by a bmw dealer, no service records, who them sold it in an auction to the current dealer.

Also check out that tee that the hoses are connected to I just did my water pump and when I went to remove those hoses the tee crumbled into pieces. I have never seen a plastic piece just fall apart like that.
