Default Flasher relay

I need to replace the emergency flasher relay on my 2000 A6 avant 2.8 wagon, due to sticking contacts. I've removed the face plate covering the switch but can't seem to remove the actual switch! Any pointers? Thanks for any help, Spinman

The retaining clips are on the sides but are hard to get at. Make sure theres no trim panels in the way and then just pull.

To remove the flasher relay assy. I removed the coin tray and bev. holder on each side of flasher assy, then was able to reach in and release the locking tabs on both sides, then pull straight out,the coin and bev. trays came out very easy also. Just pulling straight did not do it for me! Still waiting for new relay($26.00) on line. Thanks for replys SPINMAN
