For some reason i cart get the lights to work in the drivers side and passager foot well checked buld and fuses dont no what els to do or try thanks for any help.

 

Does your car recognize that the door is open? Does it display so on the information screen? One fairly common ailment is that the sensor for detecting whether or not the door is open stops working, sucks to fix and is expensive to replace.

 

Isn't it just a door switch??

 

on the screen it shows me when the boot lid is open but not the doors

 

You need a drivers door latch. A used one from a junk yard is maybe 75.00. Installing it takes a couple hours at most. Easy overall.

Try Shokan or Force Five for a used one..

 

If you are just replacing the latch with a new/used one then it is easy. You pop the door panel off (5 mins), unbolt and remove the window/door assembly (10mins), remove latch, put in new latch (20 mins), put the window door assembly back in (10mins), put the door panel on(5 mins). This would take an hour or so your first time. It is a lot easier than it looks. Especially when you are only changing the part out and not tearing it open to fix it. Most of that write up is about fixing that broken part which you would not be doing.
