RE: AUDI A6 Saloon 2.0 Diesel Automatic

Any idea what has caused this? (Driving for about 1 minute from my drive)

In D mode - last night I pulled out on to the local dual-carriageway and seeing there was some fast moving traffic coming, I switched onto S Mode and hit the pedal... immediately the car went into 'limp mode' and the glow plug warning light came on... I drove a few miles - switched off the engine - restarted and the light didn't come back on.

I don't do a lot of high-rev driving and don't use the S mode very often, usually when pulling out from a junction which requires fast acceleration.

Any suggestions as to what caused the light to come on? And anything to worry about?
