Got 2000 A6 2.7 6-Speed!!!
Bought 2000 Audi A6 2.7T 6-Speed Manual. It is jet black, fully serviced by the dealer and still under warranty, bought for $5900 and Manheim Chicago Auto Auction. Has 100K even. Not really fimiliar with 6-Speed, I heard they have lots of power and the car went as an Above Average Condition. Has clean carfax and shows that is serviced by Audi dealer in chicago. I cant wait to get it. I will post pictures when it arrives. So maybe some mods for it , let me know what you think. Usually they do more money at auction but it was right before holiday and not alot of buyers came out. So let me know what you think, I'm ready to join the audi turbo "club" lol
i dont think so, i had my 98 A6 sedan quattro, had it for half a year, didnt cost me a dime extra out of my wallet for anything extra, just put on new tires, added hid kit, and put new brakes and did an oild change, but u would need to do it to any car, audis are nice, and if u treat it nicely and dont screw around with it, it will last long, this is my 3rd one hopefullly it wont make me wrong lol
but your 98 didnt have twin turbos, prepar to open your wallet, but if you know how to do minor stuff you can safe lots of cash

i know how to do some basic stuff, i always do my own breaks, rotors, oil and some other stuff, and so far i didnt have any major problems with my audis, this site usually helps me out alot
I do alot of my own work, but the 2.7t still cost me a bunch, in parts alone, some months I feel like i'm being nickle and dimed to death (fuel pump, TBB, brake switch) that was just the month of June. Not to mention turbos and that whole mess in December
No, but seriously, open your wallet! In addition to the problem areas above get ready for bad o2 sensors, cats, ABS Modules, pixelation...it seems I can go on and on! My car had ALL of these issues AND bad alternator. Great car to drive though!
