GREEN Brake Fluid Needs Refill
2000 A6 2.7T Quattro w/ 6spd Man.
Doing brake job all around. Brake fluid is GREEN! Doesn't appear to be a dirty green but a clean green, if you know what I mean. I've always used Dot3/4 fluid on my previous other cars (non-audi) and the fluid is a clear-amber color. Is this green brake fluid some special type? What type/brand?
AND the big question, which I expect the answer's "No":
Can I mix clear-amber Dot4 brake fluid with this existing green fluid?

You probably have ATE DOT 4 Super Blue fluid. Any good DOT4 will work. I like to alternate super blue and regular amber fluid each time that I do the brakes. That way when I bleed, I know exactly when I get to the fresh fluid.
Super Blue is blue, not green. A mix of standard fluid and Super Blue might produce a green mixture. Racing fluid comes in a variety of colors just for the reason HXGase mentioned - to know when you have flushed the old fluid out. WHich, in your case, sounds like a good idea.
