I did it on mine...
It's easiest if you have a lift. You just need to measure where you want the mufflers / tips to sit and mark off the line on the plastic. I used an air wrench / dremel to do mine. If you take your time, it will turn out great. Makes the car look so much more aggressive. Have fun!

I did the same thing on my 2.7t I cut out the bottom so my exhaust would be flush with the bumper.
very easy.
take a 2l bottle trace the bottom with a thick black marker and then cut it out.
fold the now 3in (or slightly bigger) circle in half snd cut down the middle. this is now your templet for cutting out the bumper.
you will have to measuer from the inside to the back flush part to make your refrence mark to start. cut all the way threw the back layer as well and vola you have a new aggressive rear bumper ready for exhaust pipes.
a dremmal or a roto zip with a drywall blade worked best for me
