Default Heater Fan Making Noise

The heater fan on my 99 A6 Avant recently started squeaking while operating at a certain speed. The noise goes away if we turn off the auto system and manualy adjust the fan speed up or down. I assume the heater fan motor should be replaced. Does anyone know if it is accessible? Any tricks to replacing the fan motor?

Thanks! Using the search, I found a great article on how to remove the fan. I guess I just need to learn how to use the forum! I'm new to the world of Audi and to the forum. Am enjoying the ride and the community!

We're glad to have you in the forums, more specifically in the A6 section. There are many folks that have been here for awhile, and others quite awhile longer. Both the members and moderators are friendly and very helpful. Some of the members are even Audi Certified Mechanics.

Be sure to read the rules and FAQ on the upper right side of the window when you get a chance!

Good luck with the heater fan! (I had the same problem!)
