Default Hell of a time finding this part...

Ok, So I need a secondary cooling fan. I swear I have 2001 A6 Avant 2.8 (manufactured 07/00) And on this lovely ride is a Valeo Fan with a oval connector. But for the life of me I cannot find (online) anything that looks anything like it with an oval connector. The only ones that I find are for A4. Now, I am assuming that the ones that fit the A4s will fit mine. But i just went through 40 days of hell with a place called discountautoparts, as they originally sold me the one I though was correct, and then 10 days later said, "Oh, sorry, that was not really in stock." then the bait and switched me in to an after market one that did not fit at all... I am pissed. But I digress...

Anyone know the actual part number for my ride's secondary cooling fan -with the oval connector? Or, If this will fit and i can just change the connector?

Thanks a lot!

I bought part #8D0959455C for my '99 2.8 A6 and it did not come with the oval connector, but fit perfectly in my car (this was this past April 2012). I snipped off my old fan's connector, soldered it to the new fan's wires, and it worked perfectly. A word of warning: make sure to test that the fan is spinning the correct way after you install, you might have gotten the wires backwards (this may or may not have happened to me ). There are arrows on the fan blades that indicate direction.
