Just want to say hi to you guys. I'm a first time Audi owner. I got fed up with my current car and absolutely fell in love with this A6 at an auto broker.

Picked up a clean 2006 A6 4.2 with 36,000 miles this afternoon and couldn't be happier. Time to start browsing through the old threads to get myself up to date.

Hell, I don't even know if I've got a timing belt or chain.

Here's a question. Can anyone recommend some springs that work well. I'd also like to do headers and cat back, what works well in that regard?

 

Sweet looking ride! As for the springs, H&R and Eibach are both available for the car. If you want to keep somewhat of comfort, I say go with a set of Eibachs. You should replace the shocks as well. Koni FSDs are good.

As for the headers, forget about it. No one makes them. Milltek makes a cat back set up for the 4.2.
