Default Help!!

I went to put in a new expansion tank, and when I pulled off the hose from the top of the tank, the little nub on the t that goes between that and the other two hoses just shattered. It was very corroded. Where can can I get that little t piece?!? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I'd like to stay OEM if at all possible. Does anyone know the the three hose sizes?

I have the 2.8 in my A6 and I don't know if the tee is the same as yours, but mine was plastic and it broke a while back and provided me with an unscheduled opportunity to replace some coolant. I replaced it with a plastic vacuum tee just to get home, but then I ordered a stainless steel tee fitting from McMaster-Carr (I think it was less than ten bucks) and I haven't had any trouble since. I also replaced the spring clamps with regular hose clamps while I had them off.

If you have that same mentality with all audi repairs you better have deep pockets.

Thanks ninetynine! Do you recalled what it was called or the size you ordered?

Jhuffman- I've had my car for 8 years and do most of the repairs myself-thanks.

I can get you the part number and the specs tomorrow. For some reason I can't get on to the server at the office right now to look it up, but if I remember right, all three hoses were the same size on mine. I'll get back to you.

I'm with huffman, OEM with Audi's seems to mean unreasonably priced.

Ninetynine-
I found some good stainless ones at Advance Auto. You're right. It makes more sense to use that than using corrosive plastics.
