Default HELP!!!

I need your help, I recently purchased a 2001 A6 and the chrome shift plate cover is scratched and I need to replace...however I can't find a place that sells them, any suggestions would be Extremely appreciated...Thank you!!

a couple of ideas here
1. dealer part,
2, get it re-chromed,
3, eBay,
4, breakers yard,
and good luck

I believe the part number for the shift plate cover is 4B0 798 151 J and it's something you would probably have to get from a dealer or wrecking yard. The (outdated) dealer price I found was $230 (ouch!).

Thanks for the ideas, I am not the most car saavy so dealer parts?, breakers yard? not sure what these are could you explain? Thanks again for your time and help!

Mine was scratched also, so I brushed it with a dremal tool.
