Arrow help with auto leveling headlights

since i bought my 04 A6 3.0 sometimes when my headlights calibrate when the car first turns on they both go up and then down then only the right one comes back up, it does it about half the time, i have figured out though that if i leave the lights on and turn the car off and start the car again they will recalibrate but sometimes i have to start the car and turn the car off 3 or 4 times to get them both to level together, it really anoying haveing the left one aim so low sometimes... any ideas, (motor going bad, or maybe just getting stuck)

Yeah the motors get stuck, you just need to replace that headlight motor.

The motor´s gone kaput. I had the same problem not too long ago. Luckily, mine is CPO'd. My problem was that after they got their hands on it, they royaly f'd up the alignment on the headlights. It went from a REAL euro headlight car to a mid 80's Buick.....

Gotta get around to it and do it myself one of these days...
