Help!! Emissions machine won't read
I need to get my car registered but none of the emissions machines will read my 2000 Audi A6 2.7T. The OBD will read for codes just not for the emissions computer.
Has anyone else had or heard of this issue and what could it be?
Thanks for all of your help.

Go somewhere else. That sounds like BS.
Emmissions computer? WTF is that. the ECM is the computer that keeps tabs on all of your DTC's If you don't have any for your emmisson system it would be because there is nothing wrong with it. I look at mine all the time. You could probably go to VW or Audi and have it done as well.
Sounds like you went to Larry, Moe and Curly.

Is it possible they read the readiness codes and it wasn't ready?
These codes are reset to "not ready" when the other codes in the ECU are cleared. When conditions are met, they change to "ready." (OR... they change to FAIL.... )
If your car doesn't have an emissions problem, all you need to do is drive it a little. They should go to "ready." VAG Com will read these codes.
