Help me pick lower control arms kit
A little background:
In Sept i changed Upper Control Arms on my 98 A6 2.8. FCP was selling a kit for $71.00 lol... My lower control arms were old too but i just wanted to wait. Past week or so i've been hearing some creaking on the front driver side. I parked the car, pushed the car down from the left fender with my hands and i can hear creaking sound. So i am thinking its time for lowers (i'm hoping the new uppers r not shot coz they were just 70 bucks lol).
So this is what i see on fcp. 2 kits, 1 is $106.13 and other measly $47.75. Which one should i pick guys? Anyone has any experience with these kits?

both kits are different. there are a total of 2 lower control arms on each side.
it all really depends on which one you need. both are lower control arms and both go in different position they are not interchangeable (if you thought they were). i would just replace all four of the lowers. there is even a video online.
its not very hard but time consuming.

it could be. i just changed my control arms on my car (all 8 of them + tie rods) and the creaking has stopped but my car still rattles when i go on bumps. but the rattling is not as loud as before.
