Hi Im new to this forum and I have no idea if this is the right place to put this. I have a 2000 Audi a6 2.7l QU Bi-Turbo Tiptronic tranny with 145k on it, About yesterday I was driving and it felt like the ABS came on in my car, kind of a stuttering and the check engine light flashed and went away and the car was fine, as I began driving more the problem kept reoccuring especcially on hills when the car went from overdrive down to 4th( this is a tiptronic tranny). Finally I aprked it for the night. On my wayt o school today about 5 miles from home it happened again and the CEL hasnt gone away as it did before. This also happens when I accelarate really fast. My friend with a VAG-com is coming over later to get a code from the CEL, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or knew what it could be. I was thinking the Tranny fluid but I know how much of a Pain in the *** it is so I was wondering if you guys had any ideas or thoughts on what it could be before I start tinkering with any ofit. *The car is completely stock by the way

 

Members here will try and help. What engine do you have? And post the vag-com codes. From what you said, I'm guessing misfire and probably related to an ignition coil, bu that's just a guess. If it was ABS, the ABS or ESP icon would be flashing on the dash console.

 

Okay when I get them I will, but I was just describing the stuttering feeling that it almost feels like ABS but its deffiantly not anything with the tires and or breaks

 

Oh and it never happens when the car is just idling
