High pitched brake noise
Replaced the front discs and pads in January. When the weather warmed up the front brakes started making a very high frequency and very loud noise when brakes are lightly applied. It's so loud it drowns out the radio. Dealer's fix was to soak the pads in something which worked for about 2 days. Has anyone experienced this and is there a more permanent fix? Is there a better brake pad? Thanks
are the pads lined up and hitting the rotor square on?? this is a problem I recently sorted on a car and best way was to strip the pads out and clean any rust/dust buildup where the pads sit then bleed the breaks (front only need doing) also apply copper slip paste to the rear of the pads and where they locate on the caliper
