If the hissing noise you hear is up front .......... and under load, it might be the throttle body boot. My symptoms were hissing and not being able to achieve higher than 3K on the tach in most gears without laboring. New $17.00 boot fixed everything ....... 35 minutes in labor.

the hissing noise is comming from the under the car on thepassenger side of the vehicle,at the front

right where your a/c condenser is, you will also notice the sound right in front of the windshield on the pass side. I swear it is the A/C

heh, i said SAI.. which...

Secondary Air Injection... comes on @ cold starts to regulate emmissions, and iirc the pump is located near/under the intake
