Holtz, Rochester NY - great service
Dealerships are frequently maligned on this website so I wanted to give credit to Holtz House of Vehicles for outstanding customer service. I was 400 miles into a 4500 vacation drive when my 2.7T started missing and throwing CELs, I had it checked at a Pep Boys and it appeared to be a bad coil pack on #2. I knew there was a local Audi dealership, so I pulled in. In spite of it being Friday afternoon and they were backed up with cars, they took the time to pull diagnostics to confirm the problem, then looked up my repair history to discover the coil packs had been recalled and should have been replaced. They fit my vehicle in and replaced all six coil packs under warranty, and had me on my way in 90 minutes, CEL-free. Outstanding!!
By comparison, a nameless Grand Rapids MI dealership had checked out the car for this recall in 2009 and told me my coil packs were not covered. Boo to them and kudos to Holtz.
PS-And thanks to this forum, where I have learned enough to interpret the Pep Boys scan and rightly suspect the coil packs. Not surprising since they wee oem and I just crossed 190k miles.

Update. Made it through NY, CT, GA, and am currently in Tallahassee FL. Over 2000 miles on new coil packs and car is running great at 192.5k. Tomorrow it's onward to San Antonio and then back to MI.
