Default How to check my timing?

When I start TDIGraph and choice AFB (my engine type) VAG-COM shows me this graphic:

In my VAG-COM I had not AFB engine in the drop down, but I found this TDIGraph.cfg file from Ross-Tech site->TDIGraph->Version History:
http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-scope/tdigraph.cfg
Now I don't know what to do. Should my Timing value to be negative?

TDI does not work on Audi's.
If you want real time data use
http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-scope/index.html

Other then that, you have to use "measuring blocks" under 01 engine, then 04 basic settings, then pick 03

How about ignition timing?

Normal? What's normal? It will change with, engine temp, oil temp, air temp, throttle input, gas quality, throttle input, engine load ......

What are you trying to find out? I would not get hung up on the values. If you want to see if there are any problems, log the knock sensors.

You need to got to http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/main_screen.html & learn how to use Vag-com.

Default RE: How to check my timing?

If this can help here I made screenshots of many values:
http://www.toshko-bg.com/snimki/audi/vag-com/

I have problem with the cold start. The engine starts slow with round 6-10 seconds cranking. I went to mechanic and we set ATDC in basic settings Group 004 to 2,2 butit not help. I have read on many forums in internet, that I should set the timing. I know that I should rotate a little bit the fuel pump, but I don't know where to check for some values that I should adjust. So if someone can help me with info how to set the timing I will be very pleasure. Everywhere the people are saying that I should use TDIGraph in VAG-COM, but also the people are saying that itwant notwork for my car.
And sorry for my bad english. I'm bulgarian [sm=headbang.gif]

screwing with the dieselfuel pump is your first mistake ( set it to the manufacturers specs ) then change the glow plugs which in most cases is the cause for hard starting

The problem is not in the glow plugs. When my car is into the garage it is not so cold and glow plugs are off. Sometimes when is more cold or the car is for the night out of the garage the glow plugs starts for few seconds and then the starts is better, but still is not ideal.
When theengine is too hot (e.g. after driving on highway) also the start is hard.

then it could be pump timing is out or injectors are bad, im going for diesel pump timing because you messed with it and you need the tools to set up the engine timing to the pump timing other wise its not possible
