Default How much for bodywork labor??

Hey there folks,

I had a minor accident where I accelerated when I should've had stepped on the brakes when I was parking. Now the front bumper is little damaged with a crack on the right passenger side. How much would it cost to replace the front bumper including labor??

There might be damage to the right front headlight washer too, but I'm not sure...the washer cover popped off and I can't put it back in tightly, it fits loosely where it can pop right back off in rough road conditions. Anyone know?

thanks for the response

I'm not reporting this to my insurance company...I fear the rates will go up because of this incident. I just got this car too

I think my situation is different because my car is much older and it's a front bumper not rear

It's a 2001 Audi A6 2.7t...

You can find the good condition but 'used' front bumper with matched color from below 2 sources. You can put it on yourself or by auto body shop.

www.car-part.com -> use 'image search' tab -> about $225 when I searched in Boston area. You can drive to pickup if you find the right bumper near you.

www.shokan.com -> they have many used Audi & will ask about 50% of OEM price. Ship from NY location.

Yeah, reporting this to the insurance and you just got it will jump your rates up. Although, it seems like you do have to replace the front bumper. You can either buy one online non-painted would run you about $300. Then painting would be about $100. You can install in yourself not too difficult. The other option is get one already painted for about $600 and then get it installed. Since, you have an Audi everything is overcharged, would run you about i the low $1,000.

Matching paint on a 10 year old car is not an easy task. A reputable shop with paint bumper and feather front fenders and the hood.
