Default how to reset service OIL indicator

I have looked around and the methods that I have found so far are not working for me. What is the proper way of resetting the service oil/inspection indicator on an audi a6 c5 2.8q.

you have to turn off the car. press the button which "zeros" the miles put the car's in on position but not starting it and pressing the other dial by the "0" one. if that doesnt work you will have to use a vag-com

so when i press the right hand side button, do i hold it in and turn the ignition on while still holding it in. then when the ignition is on, do i still hold that one and press the one on the left too, or do i let it go and then press the the one on the left? lol this sounds so confusing.

Press and hold in the right button while turning on the ignition. If I remember correctly, then it will blink or something like that. Release the button and press and hold it until the mileage is reset.

One more thing to add... It will only reset if your service remaining mileage is 1000 or so miles and it is coming on when you turn the ignition on. i.e. 2500 mile showing on the reminder will not allow you to reset.
