The reason ther is no match is becasue the 350 weighs soo much less than the 4.2. On the freeway, past 70, i would dare to say it would be neck and neck..Off the line = hands down 350 because of the weight. But, when it comes to interior appointments and styling, the Lexus falls way way short. Test drove one this weekend after a co-worker bought the 250. Problems I see with teh 350....Doesn't come with a manual tranny and does not sport AWD. If it did, that would have changed my tune a bit. I hear they might next year, but just rumor from the sales guy. The car felt kinda big and rally ahrd to see your corners becasue of the round styling. My GF's IS is a fun car and is super tight compared to the new, but that was last gen. In fact, the IS 300 is 215HP and the new 250 is only 205...I know, 10 hp is no big deal...just saying.

You guys are taking this thread out of proportion, Of course the A6 has a nicer interior than almost any other japanese and german sedans on the market. The A6 also has much more tuning options for power, handling, and syling than most other sedans on the road today as well.
Even if the A6 would lose to a japanese/korean sedan by half a car length or less i would still drive the A6 because the A6 stands ahead of the pack in technology and engineering.
But those of you that are non believers of japanese power take your APR stage 3 tuned A6 next to a tuned Supra, Skyline, or NSX and your ***** will shrink so small you'll cry for a month, you WILL be beat that badly.
