Hello members,

I got a totally leaking ofcoolant water, overheat.

Indy mechanic found it was a water pump problem.

I changedwater pumpwith 2 timing belts, serpentine belts, tensioner.

5~6 hrs labor job. $660 include tax and labor.

IMOthat was areasonable cost..

I hope for his sake thats what he meant. I'd hate for one of our forum guys to get their money stolen from such a shady a** mechanic.

sorry to respond late.

my car is 1998 2.8 30v.

isn't there 2 timing belts?

anyway, belt, water pump job easily beat $1200 at the dealer, right?

The mechanic became my "amigo" man~

more surprisingly, about a month ago, i spent $140(labor and cv boot tube)for 4 brake pads and one torn cv boot. i spent additionally $120 for brake padss on ebay. I bet this deal is unreasonably cheat, too.

yeah, you are one of the "tech certified".

Thanks bro.

And,

My car got a diesel engine sound and a little more knocking after the belt&waterpump job.

do i probably need tune up, spark plugs or transmission?
