Default I need a replacement auto transmission ECU - can anyone help (UK)?

Hi Guys,

We've finally got to the bottom of the reason the car wouldn't come out of park - it turns out that the control module / ECU for the semi-auto gearbox had got water damaged!! (As some might know I have had a water leak for a while but thought it was coming in at the rear of the car - but it looks like it's coming in through the front).

I just want to get the car up and running and then sell it, so I need to replace the ECU. The trouble is that my local Audi dealer wants nearly £1200.00 for one which is as much as the car is worth I have tried ebay and various local breakers to see if I can get a used replacement but nothing has worked so far. Can anyone in the UK recommend anywhere for me to try for either a replacement or for someone who can repair the unit please?

I was also wondering if the ECU from another A6 model might work? Mine is a 1999 S-Reg 2.8 Avant Quattro Semi-Auto / Tip, and the code on the ECU is:

4B0 927 156 D

Thanks in advance for any help you can give guys!

Cheers,

Stewart

Did you try Shokan? I did a quick search and not finding much on that part number but Shokan may have one.
