when you turn key to run position does battery light illuminate?this is not a battery issue it is an alternater problem.if batt light does not come on either small wire at alt is broken or alt is bad.If battery is bad it will still run after jumping.get a voltmeter and start car.voltage at battery needs to be 13.7 to 14.2 volts.if 12 volts and goes down the longer the car runs it needs an alt.(unless cable is broken at alt and have never seen that

2. Read your voltmeter located at the right bottom of the gauge pot.
3. If the gauge says less than 12V, then your battery is either shot, or not charged. Get the battery over to Napa, Kragen, or whereever, and they will run a test for you for free.
4. If the battery is good, but not charging then your alternator is shot. Your car will start with bad alternator. Also another way to check is to read the voltmeter again while the car is running. If you are getting less than 13V when the car is running, then your alternator is shot.
I turn the ignition, and the battery did read less than 12V, I gave the car a jump start, and it did read Normal, well the Voltmeter went to a bit more than half way. I will get a replacement battery and take it to Autozone or Sears to test. I don't understand how after a car wash this crap happen...

Based on what you said, it may end up being the alternator, but it may also be the battery. One more thing... check you ground wire for good connection.

Have the battery tested before you replace it. Check the voltage with the car running with an actual voltmeter. Don't just go by the dash meter. I'd lean towards the alternator being bad personally. Might have some cracks in the resin that seals the windings that let water into them.

Yeah it is def the altenator, crap! they told me at the dealer that, water alone will not damage the altenator, and I am sure I did not put a lot of water underneath the car but only a drop will do it, apperently, I will get a new one at autozone, the dealer want 700.00 for a new one, and autozone only want 320.00 and they will give me 120.00 for my old one.

It is not a cake walk to replace it. You have to put your car in service position meaning the front end comes off. It can be done but if you are not familiar with working on your audi, then I say go get a repair manual.
