I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out a little bit. I bought a Dual double din DVD player and i am going to get it next week.I would like to know what i would need to get in order to install it and if anyone knows how to install it, it would be a big help. i have a 2000 a6 4.2 with the Bose stock system in it right now. i don't want to change the speakers or anything just the head unit. thanks

 

I don't know about models in the US, but I think the unit you currently have will be single din, and have a flap to cover the unit.

This being the case, you will need to get the shroud/surround from the newer 2002 updwards model that will accomodate a 2 din unit.

You may also need to get an ISO adaptor for your new DVD unit that will allow you to use the existing speakers and connectionswithout any problems.
