Angry Intake Manifold Change Over valve quesiton...

Ok, Hi all! So, I was changing all my vacuum lines (2001 A6 2.8) and the damn end of the hose going to the IMCV broke off on it and I cannot get the rest off to put the new one on (no room/ bad angle). So, it looks like I have to remove the damn thing to get at the remainder of the old line off the nipple! My question is, "There are two hex bolts holding this on; is there anything I need to know procedurally, before I take this thing off?" I figure (based on reading) that there is an O-ring I should check. But, it this more than a "pull off, remove old hose remnants, put back on"?

I spent an hour trying to get that crap off to no avail!

Another 15 min job turned into 5 hours!

Thanks!

Default Easy peazy

I just did it. Unscrew to hex bolts, remove (careful not to lose the spring inside), remove old hose remnant, put back on... No problem.
