The interior mirror on my 1998 A6 has lost most of the anti-dazzle fluid that is located between the actual mirror and the the glass. Is this a common fault or am I just lucky ???

A new mirror is about £110 (or $190 to you fellas over the pond) alot of dough in anyone's language.

I did buy a used on for £30 mail order, only to find had a 'streaky' finish to it. So it was no use to man or beast !

Usually the side mirrors do that. You must just be lucky. At least you know what liquid crystalls feel like.
