Actually, on a cold start mine shifts at 3k and kind of lurches when it shifts. After that it shifts entirely normal. I figured having the transimission flushed and tuned would fix it, but it didnt. So now I am at a loss of ideas.

Mine does the same thing. There are 3 things that help. Warm up the car completly to middle temp range. Which is a waste of time. Use the tip function until the temp goes to middle or restart the car and it won't do it. I just use tip. I think it's audis way of warming up the gearbox

Bit of a noob, but what is the tip function?

LOL the tiptronic! In "D" slide the gear lever to the right where it says + - it will let you control what gear to be in. Basically make it a manual without a clutch. So use the tip for a few shifts and then put it in drive. The 3000-4000 Rpm can damage the turbos from a cold start.

Ohhhhhhhhh lol. *supermassivefacepalm*. I've actually been doing that lol. It still shifts hard out of first after a cold start. Maybe that is just normal.
