Default K04s for 2.7T

Just curious - has anybody with a 2.7T TIP considered doing the Ko4 turbo upgrade (plus turbo hardware of course). I know that APR only does the kit for 6spds.
What are people's opinions about the strength of the Tiptronics in this situation?

Thanks

In my opinion, you are sick![8D]
The consensus among majority I spoke to is that the tip tranny can't handle the additional power. Try looking up data and comparing the 4.2 tranny vs. the RS6 tranny, that might give you a definite answer how much exactly your tranny can handle for an extended period of time. I would say that >350 hp start to dramatically reduce the tranny's lifetime. Since I drive a 6spd don't take my comments too seriously, I might be wrong

P.S. Just few weeks ago you had the chip installed and already you want more

I know, I know !!! Once you get a taste of extra speed, you always want more
I spoke to J3 Motorsports and confirmed your reply. APR has apparently done two Tips with the K04s and the tranny basically just stopped shifting after a while...
J3 currently has a 2.7T - 6sp in the shop getting the upgrade and apparently this car is brutal on the road - I LOVE IT !!

Well - I was just curious, besides, the boss at home wouldn't allow it anyway...
