Default Key Fob Synchronisation - A6 2005 2.4 SE

Hi All

I was hoping someone may be able to help me with my key fob. the battery is fine, however it only works intermittently, and I suspect it may need re-synchronising.
Does anyone have a guide / tips how to do this? I'm getting fed up of using the physical key to unlock the car!!
Thanks

Working intermittently means that it is programmed correctly (or rather that the car is programmed to the fob) - if they are not, the car will never recognize it. You can try re-setting it (really simple to do, but you need 2 working keys or a VAG-COM - search the archives here for the procedure) but your issue seems more like an intermittent problem in the fob itself, or (more unlikely) in the remote receiver. Sounds like you only have one fob - this is why it's nice to have two so you can compare and troubleshoot.
