Default Looking at 2002 A6 2.7T Quattro

I have an 01 A4 1.8T Quattro and have had it for about two years, but I'm wanting something a bit more roomy for everyone. My A4 is fully loaded with Bose, heated seats, tinting mirrors, even buttons on the wheel for sport shifting on the tiptronic. I've been looking around and FINALLY found an A6 with all of these options. My only concern is what is bound to go wrong with them? The A6 i'm looking at has 100k miles on it. My A4 had 98k when I bought it and now sits at 152 and hasn't had any major issues to mention. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,
-Tyler

Tyler, do you have a family?
If you are just schlepping friends around, then I would say keep your A4 and screw/scratch the "rommier for everyone" idea.
I don't know your circumstances, but at a first read your A4 dragged your behind 54,000 miles in only two years without major issues.
You only have to deal with one turbo in your 1.8, am I wrong?
Also, doesn't the A4 return a better mpg than the A6?

In 54k you've been relatively problem free and what other problems you may have, you know about and tolerate. A 2002 vehicle with 100k miles is going to have surprises. OOOO surprises cost money. On the other hand, my A6 has 184k on it and also has been relatively trouble free, but I've done all the service since I bought it with 37k miles and I currently have a leaking turbo (facing turbo replacement at some point). Unless you have growing kids, I'd tell your friends to scrunch up and jam their asses into the rear seats.
