You should just pay for it, I think it's $30-40 for as many as you can do in a month. It's well worth it to investigate.
Ask them for records, and spare keys!!! the keys are 300.00 and although they will tell you that YOU can get them online cheap. Unfortunatley you just can't I tried and it didn't work. So if they start with that tell them you'll give them $40 for a spare that works.

 

it is a 2.7 turbo a6. with 140k miles.. all belts and services changed and done.. has navigation..

140,000 miles for a 2002... 20 thou miles/year, and it depends WHO drove it.

You should be aware that the TURBOS may go out on you at any time from this point on. A $ 5700 car could become a $ 9-10,700 car in a heartbeat.
If you have a $ 10 K budget to buy a car, go for it as you'd have enough dough to meet successfully immediate or future mechanical troubles.

By the way, it is never wise to rush (you want to buy it...tommorrow?) when investing in a car!

 

Got all the paperwork for car. and dealer info on car.. have researched it for a week and others.. so would you reccomend a 3.0 instead due to the turbos going out?? how typical is it for turbos to go?
