Default Looking to join the A6 club...

I'm looking to buy a new daily driver and really like the Audi A6. I don't know a whole lot about them (trying to educate myself on this site), and have found a few that I'm interested in. Does $25k seem like a good deal for an '06 with 40k miles?

Thanks,

You won't regret getting the 4.2. You really need to see the maintenance records in order to determine if it is a good deal. You also need to find out what MMI software version it is running. The early software was a disaster.

That looks like a pretty good deal, but you need to find some maintenance records. The 4.2 is a great motor, we have one in our touareg and it pulls a 25 foot cruiser like its nothing. Thats non FSI, so its the 40v 335hp version, been around for a while and is pretty fool proof. Still should get in the mid 20s on the highway as well, high teens around town. Good luck, enjoy.

Keep in mind that the warranty is almost expired, based on mileage.
The car looks beautiful!
If I were you I would start bidding just a few minutes before the auction ends...

looks like a great deal...has Nav and the keyless start. Need to look at maintenance records but at least Carfax is clean. The only weird thing is the center display (above the steering wheel) is never on in any of the pics. But the warranty will transfer so that can be fixed under the original warranty.

The 4.2 in that car is unlike anything you have (probably) ever driven.

Good luck!

Larry

Guys - thanks. Great advice. I am going to have a buddy go look at it - he's local to the car.

Cheers!
