Default Lost with Rotors & Pads

Hi!

I need to replace the pads and rotor on my 2002 A6 2.7T Quattro with 17".

With the the help of the Bentley Service Manual and my Vehicle Identification Label I know that I need 321mm rotor on the front and 245mm on the back (Optional Equipment # T7Z & 1KD).

I have found these rotor on ebay : http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=350030527305.

The front seem of the correct type, but the back is 255mm. Will this cause a problem?

I asked the seller about my car and the seller need to know, is my A6 one piston calipers or two? I dont know.

Also, what kind of pads is needed for the front? With the help of the Bentley Servica Manual, the caliper is the HP-2 and it seem that I need 8 pads total for the front?

If it can help, here is my VIN : WAULD64B22N014680

Thanks!

Two vs one pistoncaliper.. Easiest thing to do is look at it and count. it will either be 1 -2 or just 1.

255 is bigger than 245 mm Can you fit a 10.039 plug in a 9.64 diameter hole?

I too have the Bentley Manual and remember that in most instances it asks you to check on the vehicle directly. Especially for maintenance parts like those you mention.

There are a number of options with the 2.7T including S-line. The parts such as the ones you mention, I believe, are different. So you better check them yourself, or get your garage to check.

I don't know if this affects that 2.7, but the 4.2 came with two different off-sets for the rotors. You need to make sure you order the correct ones for your vehicle.
