Default lsd, edl, and quattro

i've been trying to figure out if lsds have an real world advantages in our quattro cars ( 2000 2.7t ). I know we have edl but read that over 40kphit isdeactivated.

I've also read that in some cars (s6 for example) it doesnt deactivate untill 80 kph. is this a software thing? change we upgrade somehow?

This is based on the tranny ECU set. TheECU's are different than the A6. We can upgrade both front and rear differentials to LSD's. This is something I was considering in the near future but still doing research.

in your research have you decided on a maker yet? i look at the Quaife ATB Limited Slip Differential (LSD)but the lowest price i've found so far was 1395.

that and anyone know how our quattro is diffrent than the new quattro. Apperantly it can opperate when only one wheel has tractionwhere ours (2.7t a6 2000) can not.
