Check it out, see if it works but your results may be mental more than anything.

Over the years the biggest, and basically only thing that has been able to change gas mileage for me was proper tire inflation and driving habits. I'm not saying you have to pull away from every red light like a granny but there is a fine line to walk.
These cars were also made for highway cruising and are awesome for that purpose, unfortunately I do too much city driving for my liking but I get by haha.

These have been advertised for years. Don't you think that if they really worked, the carmakers would make them standard equipment in order to improve the CAFE and for marketing (fuel economy points)? I also read test results years ago and they did not work. Maybe...just maybe...if you drive a little differently (i.e., more gently) after you install them you'll see a little improvement.

Keep your tires at the right pressure, air filter clean, plugs clean, and drive with a gentler foot when possible and you'll see savings.

Alternately, submit your question to Mythbusters. Great show.

Mythbusters already did a show on this. The tested that stupid vortech think you put in your CAI pipe...nothing. They tested the magnetic thing which is suppossed to de-ionize the fuel---please. They tested alcohol and it didnt even run. The tested hydrogen water fuel cells..didnt work for s***. The only thing that worked as a alternative means to save fuel and increased MPG was vegetable oil over diesel. They tested it in an old mercedes and it ran fine with an improvement of 2 mpg. Bio-diesel works awesome. If you want to buy into the stupididty and waste your money on useless s*** that doesnt work then go right ahead but I will re-iterate the point already made several times in this thread --- if it worked so well, why havent the car manufactures taken to the ideas? Because they don't work and all the poor schmucks who invest their time thinking thisworthless s***have tomake back their investment $$ by charging naive chums $20 for a useless device. Theses devices are up there with fat pills. "Just take them and you will lose weight." Don't excercise, dont diet...F*** -- EAT MORE!! HAHAHAHAH What a load of s***!

I don't have the patience to drive at 60. But at 70-75 I return about 380-400 miles to a tank. Last night I drove to Detroit (380+ mile RT) at 75 on the way out and 80-90 on the way back. I had a few miles on the car before I left and was down to 1/8 tank when I filled it at 398 miles today. The computer said I had 25 to go but I don't believe it. It usually tells me anywhere from 420-470 after a fill up. The car took 17.8 gallons and supposedly has an 18 gallon tank.

The things that people come up with never cease to amaze me! Although it's been stated and re-stated throughout this post there is no doubt that this stuff is junk. The website for this thing even talks about the THEORY of why it should work. THEORY = NICE IDEA. On the other hand I really wish I had come up with the concept, cause I'm sure there are a ton of people who have bought "the latest and greatest" market toy. Coming up with one of these market toys would do wonders for my A6 project budget!!!!
