Has anyone ever lost the ecm and tcm settings with there A4? Can anyone go into a little more detail about the computer and what happens if you lose these values. Also I'm looking around for a memory saver so this never happens. I'm under the impression that the ms plugs into your cigarette lighter. Never used one so this is new to me. Anyone have a good site to find one?

 

No idea on the memory saver but if power is disconnected long enough to blank out the controllers' memories, they just go into relearn mode. The car will idle roughly and may stall but only for a day or less as it relearns what to do while you're driving. No harm in it.
