I am interested in buying a 2000-2002 A6 4.2L but I would prefer a stick shift. I haven't seen any yet on ebay that have a manual transmission...was this ever an option or are they only available with the tip tranny? Also has anyone chipped their 4.2l and if so, was it a big difference in performance? Thanks in advance,

There is NO manual in the 4.2 A6.
Only in the 2.7T. It has a 6speed.

 

Actually I believe there are some S6's with manual 8cyl.

 

there are some s6's i believe stick, 5 spd i think. but hes asking aboutn a6's not s6's. finding a stick s6 is another story..
