Well, finally got the CCM unit out

It was caked in mud and water sloshing around in the box. This thing is TOAST. Now about finding a replacement. I'm having a hard time finding a match. Everything I'm finding ends in "J" Mine ends in "L" Any ideas? I don't mind giving up some features on this otherwise great running 2003 A6 1.8T. I just want my doors to unlock and the windows to work!

4B0962258L is the number on mine

 

I need to replace the Comfort Control Module in my 2003 A6 Avant but I can't find a box with a matching part number. Mine is 4B0962258L but can I find another one (except 2nd hand in Poland). Does anyone know if I can use 4B0962258K or J? So far it is only the remote central locking that is not working but I am afraid that more is about to go wrong.

 

Try this site and ask a tech. The part# do change but the units remain the same. So ask the tech, there pretty quick in replying.
