Trying hard to find an intake to fit the 20004.2...did some minor research online and couldnt come up with much.
will a 2.7 intake fit???? or the 3.0????

I also wanna throw on the Sbody kit....if anyone knows of a place that can settle my differences in the Southern Cali area, please email me....

An intake system will get you about 0 gains, in fact when the engine bay gets hot you will probably lose horse power from heatsoak. The best and really only things you can do is get a chip and a full exhaust system for a gain of about 30 horse power.
PES is working on a new supercharger to put on a 4.2L V8 which should be pretty stout.

 

The intake wont do a thing for you but give you a nice little sound under the hood.

 

Best bet is to wait on the new supercharger and possibly play with the no horsepower related mods like suspension and tailights and stuff. Being a 2.8 owner I'm sort of in the same boat.

 

I know MTM has a supercharger for the C6 thatbrings the engine up to 450hp. I don't know what they have for the C5.

 

how much are the superchargers for the C5?........ i have a 2000 4.2...... getting Bilsteins PSS'sin and 19" AR1's next week. =)

 

The 2.8 and 3.0 supercharger kits from PES are about 5 grand. Not sure how much the 4.2L is gonna be though.

 

I'll bet the price will be about the same as the 2.8 and 3.0. But just a little more since it is for the bigger motor. But hey, I have no idea.
