RE: My 2001 A6 4.2
I got the 4.2 door blades, they fit with no problems, bolt right on. YOu can get them for 290-300 for the set of 4.
No need to do fiberglass pieces.
Don't get them from Audi, they'll rip you off. ECS tuning sells them or clairparts for 290...

Looks great!
I amcurious about your wheel/tire setup and what suspension mods you've done. I've been trying to decide if I want to go lower on my car, or if I just need 18s/19s to make the wells look more filled.
More details please!

I think you should lower it to get the right look, especially since you want the wells to look more filled.

NO removing door panels or anything. The blades are attached to the door with two small screws each, which are located inside the door but BELOW the interior panel, near where the door meets the door seal.
Remove each screw, holding the blades flat, slide them to remove them.
There is a write up with pics on AW. Took me 30 minutes b/c two took a little bit of elbow grease. Easy mod.
Just get the S6/4.2 blades and get them painted and pop them on! You might be able to get used ones on line on Shokan.com or Ebay or forum.... But new they are right under $300.
