Default My 605 is a 628

While investigating my steering rack issue, I found that my "605" relay (the relay under the dash for servotronic steering) is numbered 628. My car is an '02 2.7t tip Quattro.

First to order a rebuild rack then to remove the old one! Maybe I should stock up on beer, first!

Wish me luck!!!!

Beer....? Break out the vodka. Did a rack on my Volvo 850 and I f*cking hated it. But that was a different car so I will keep my fingers crossed that A6's are easier to do.

Best of luck

I'm currently stuck trying to get the banjo bolts out of the bottom of the rack. There is NO WAY to get to them from below. They are blocked by the frame rail. The rear one needs to come off first as it is blocking access to the front one. The front one I have disconnected in the engine compartment which may be all I need, but the rear one does not have an intermediate connector that I can undo, so it HAS to come off while the rack is in the car. A rachet hits the frame and cannot quite get to the bolt. I think a 3/8s breaker bar might do the trick but my breaker bar is broken! So, off to the tool store I go!

You are one lucky guy --

you got an extra 23 (828-805=23) and on top of that your going to get a new tool.

Ain't life with an Audi wonderful?
