glove box won't open and its not in the locked position. i tried giving it a good push before pulling. is there some way it can lock up on its own? theres not alot in there, so i dont think anything on the inside is stuck. im afraid to put too much muscle into it for fear of really screwing it up. any suggestions? going on a road trip soon and may need owners manual or registration.

 

difficult one there if its not locked only way I can think of is using a flat head screwdriver to part the glove box where the lock catch is and putting a cloth under the screwdriver so it doesn't damage the plastics

 

Thats about all you can try. Might want to try something thinner like a butter knife. If that doesnt work youll just have to pry it. The internal mechanism for lock could also be broken keeping it in the locked position.
