Default my car will turn over but will not start

Hello, my name is Jason. I have a 2001 2.7t and it is not starting, any ideas on what could be the problem? I checked the fuses. I think it is the fuel pump.

Please post back with any help, i need to get to school!

Thanks for the help, Jason

if you think it is a bad fuel pump try banging on the fuel tank were the pump would be while turning it over and if it starts it has a bad pump.
Also it would be a good idea to check spark too...

need three things for the engine to start. air, spark, fuel. Do you have the means to narrow the problem down by process of elimination? The fuel filters on these cars are pretty big. I got 189k out of my last one.

My guess would be fuel pump.

Just last week I was having the same problem with my 2000 a6 2.7t. I took the car to the dealer and it turns out that my ECU went bad. So if it isn't one of the problems mentioned above don't rule out the ECU.
